Client’s Requirements/Goals

The Client turned to 42 Digital Manufactory with a requirement to create an online store for confectionary sales. They already had a ready product, branding, and branded style. We had to develop the online store’s design from scratch, build the online store, create an intuitive UI, and create mini games on the website.

Our task was to build a website with an architecture that would allow content changes without developers’ involvement. We also needed to create and set up:

Business Challenge

The main challenge our team faced in the process of work with the Client was the requirement to keep web design in the Neo Brutalism style. This design trend requires advanced design skills and a good sense of esthetics and propriety, as Neo Brutal designs are easily spoiled and failed.

Another challenge was a tight deadline within which our team had to complete all project tasks. We had 1.5 months for design, shopify development, and testing of the online store, which required extensive effort and promptness in decision-making, negotiation of work progress, and communication.

Implementation of Shopify store

The project took 1.5 months of active work, which covered design, development, and testing stages. Our cooperation lasted from December 2021 to January 2022. A team of 6 specialists worked on the project, including 1 Senior Designer, 1 Senior Project Manager, 3 Senior Full-Stack Shopify Developers, and 1 Senior Manual QA specialist.

The technology stack used in this project’s implementation included: Shopify, Node.js, Tailwind css, Alpine.js, React.js, and Klaviyo.

The team has implemented several optimizations to enhance the site's loading speed and performance. By utilizing Tailwind CSS, we achieved notable improvements in loading times. Furthermore, the integration of Alpine.js played a pivotal role in enhancing the site's performance. This framework, known for its lightweight nature and optimization capabilities, proved to be an excellent fit for our Shopify platform.

Additionally, we incorporated an engaging element into the site by introducing mini-games scattered throughout its pages. However, we made sure to make the discovery of these games an exciting challenge rather than a straightforward task, adding an element of surprise and enjoyment for users. Locating and experiencing all of these games now presents a delightful adventure, surpassing initial expectations.
