The Hope

This piece of work is called "The Hope". Occurring in darkness in times of trouble, the firefly symbolizes hope in this picture. The girl is plunging into a deep whirlpool of her existence. She's already given up and plunged into this abyss, following the life river flow. The firefly's appearance is like a glimmer of hope. The interweaving of stars is her hopes she's already forgotten about or simply doesn't believe in anymore. This tiny girl symbolizes each of us looking for something in life. The firefly's warm light illuminates her constellations of love, friendship, happiness, and a family. I wish everyone not to lose your hope for one can't feel they really live without hope. Your hope is an extremely important and valuable thing. And it grows even more valuable when you understand that you can lose it. This work was created for the Copicaward competition.
