Python Development Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Python Development Team Lead to guide a talented team of developers in delivering innovative, production-ready solutions.

This role involves collaborating closely with Data Scientists, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to transform client requirements into actionable workloads while ensuring top-tier code quality and performance.

Kindly note that this role supports remote work, but only from within Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of a financial data analytics project in collaboration with DevOps and Data Science teams
• Translate client requirements into tasks and priorities for the development team
• Ensure code quality and adherence to best practices and client expectations
• Cultivate an independent, responsible, and problem-solving culture within the team
• Coordinate and oversee the implementation of web network fundamentals, web APIs, and their design
• Foster clear verbal and written communication across departments and stakeholders
• Provide critical insights and attention to detail in both project planning and execution
• Guide and support the team in using Python web frameworks like Fast API for production-ready applications
• Address technical challenges and ensure integration with platforms like Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes

Requirements

• 4+ years of Python backend development experience, with a focus on production-grade applications
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Proficiency in Python web frameworks (e.g., Fast API), web networking fundamentals, and API design
• Expertise in working with Data Science teams on projects involving financial data analytics
• Understanding of SQL/NoSQL, data structures, and system architecture
• Familiarity with DevOps practices like CI/CD pipelines and their application in development projects
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services and Linux environments
• Background in design and architectural skills for scalable applications
• Capability to utilize advanced data structures and optimize performance for analytics workloads
