Business Analyst
Responsibilities
• Conduct and facilitate Pre-Discovery and Discovery sessions with clients
• Create BA artifacts: traceability matrices (decomposition of business requirements into functional and non-functional requirements), functional specifications, use cases, UML, BPMN diagrams, acceptance test plans
• Document business processes
• Identify and analyze project stakeholders
• Conduct competitor and market analysis
• Prepare and maintain scope documentation
• Collaborate with the Customer and Project Manager to create epics and user stories
• Build and document product functional requirements
• Identify, track, and manage changes to requirements, including prioritization and backlog management
• Work closely with UI/UX Designers to build user experience and user interfaces
• Facilitate requirements prioritization and ensure end-to-end traceability
• Establish and monitor requirements management processes throughout the project lifecycle
• Create low-fidelity prototypes to validate ideas
• Conduct user research: personas, user journeys, usability testing
• Define acceptance criteria for functional and non-functional requirements
• Evaluate potential software solutions, including existing and open-source components, and system architecture to ensure alignment with business needs
• Join and work on already running projects, quickly diving into existing requirements and processes
Skills
• Experience with project and requirement management tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and Scrum framework
• Strong skills in business and technical documentation
• Hands-on experience with epics, user stories, and backlog refinement
• Experience with UX, prototyping, and sketching
• Knowledge of notation systems and business process modeling (UML, BPMN, ERD, Context Diagrams)
• Experience with elicitation techniques: workshops, document analysis, interviews
• Ability to prioritize functionality, validate requirements, and manage changes effectively
• Strong understanding of project structure and lifecycle, ability to crystallize business ideas together with the client
Will be a plus
• Structured knowledge of BA standards (PMI, IIBA, Enterprise Architecture)
• Experience with data analytics methodologies and tools
• Experience with CRM and ERP systems
• Background in outsource projects
• Domain experience in retail, e-commerce, or other industries
Qualifications
• 1.5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in software development projects
• English: Upper-Intermediate / Advanced
– Confident verbal communication
– Ability to lead discussions and maintain documentation in English
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to justify prioritization decisions to the client
