Middle 2D illustrator

The Unicorn is an awarded branding and animation studio originally from Ukraine, with a complex well-managed design approach with 🇺🇦 resilience, efficiency and dedication.

Our primary focus in animation is character-based animation, and we require specific attention to detail in creating illustrations for animation.

We’re looking for a 2D Illustrator to join our team, working with a test period first on a quite specific project. Your personality and English level are essential to us, as our team has been crafted carefully over the years, and we take care of it.

Your Role & Responsibilities

• Create 2D character-based illustrations with background (mostly vector-based, but sometimes raster-based too);
  
• Prepare illustrations for animation;
  
• Collaborate with team of Art Director, Lead Animator, Project Manager to incorporate feedback;
  
• Create sketches and sketched storyboards;
  

Hard Skills Must-Haves

• At least 1-2 years of commercial experience in a studio or agency;
  
• Strong understanding of how to draw and how to prepare illustrations for animation;
  
• Creative Adobe suite (mainly Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop);
  
• Frame-by-frame animation experience is a huge plus;
  

Soft Skills Must-Haves

• Communication skills, **responsibility**, self-organization;
  
• Super high attention to detail;
  
• Mistakes Tolerance: understanding that everyone makes mistakes and can effectively incorporate constructive feedback from both team members and clients to deliver quality results;
  
• LGBT+ tolerance;
