Increased Organic Traffic by 500–700% After an SEO Audit

About the Client and Their Problems

The client came with a new website that looked modern and functional, but… Only 2 pages were indexed in search engines. The site could only be found by its domain name and a few (just three) keywords.

Main challenges:

the site was not being indexed in Google;

search crawlers could see only part of the content;

the subdomain with key product categories was loading via JavaScript, which complicated indexing, so only the main domain was being indexed properly;

lack of visibility → lack of organic traffic.

The business had invested in a new resource expecting quick results, but potential customers simply couldn’t find it in search.

What We Did

We conducted a comprehensive SEO audit to identify all technical, content, and structural issues and developed a step-by-step plan to fix them.

Key findings during the audit:

no HTML links on subdomain pages, which was one of the biggest issues preventing proper indexing;

missing or incorrect metadata (Title, Description, H1);

duplicate content and incorrectly set canonicals;

performance issues (slow server, unoptimized images, missing ALT attributes);

incorrect redirects;

no structured data (Schema.org);

minor but telling issues (emojis in titles, texts that were too short, weak descriptions).

How We Solved the Challenges

Metadata

added unique Titles and Descriptions for all pages;

set up a clear heading hierarchy (1 H1 per page).

Elimination of Duplicates

optimized canonicals to avoid “competition” between pages.

Technical Optimization

optimized images without quality loss;

added ALT attributes;

reduced server response time;

fixed redirects;

placed HTML links to the pages.

Structured Data

implemented Schema.org for products and categories;

pages began to display with rich snippets in search results (price, rating, availability).

Content Improvements

removed unnecessary symbols and emojis from titles;

added text where it was missing;

made descriptions more informative and appealing.

Results

After implementing the changes, the site experienced a sharp increase in visibility and traffic:

Clicks grew by 500–700%.

Impressions increased by 300–500%.

CTR reached 8.8%.

Google Search Console graphs showed steady organic growth after fixing the issues.

Conclusions

This case proves that an SEO audit at the start is critically important for any project. If a site is indexed incorrectly from the very beginning, it can lose months of visibility and be perceived as a low-quality resource by search engines. Technical issues and even seemingly minor mistakes accumulate and block growth. Timely corrections save significant time and money, as it is easier to prevent problems than to retrain search engines.

A comprehensive approach—covering technical optimization, content improvement, and structured data implementation—ensures stable organic traffic growth and builds trust both from search engines and users.
