About us
Historically, Zakarpattia has close ties with neighbouring countries. It affects the daily life of the region's residents and certainly enriches its culture.
Kino Susidiv festival offers a cultural experience through cinema, connecting people from different countries. The festival showcases films from Visegrad countries such as Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, and the Czech Republic, as well as Romania and Austria, which share a historical past and a common experience with Zakarpattia.
In a time of war, we all realized the value of true good-neighbourliness – not only at the household level but also at the level of states. When those who share a border with you unite to provide help and fight against a common enemy, as if borders do not exist, instead there is only one duty – to stay humane and not to leave anyone in the lurch.
The event is organized by the team of KyivMusicFilm in cooperation with Brno16 (Chech Republic), Azyl Shorts (Slovakia), Zubroffka (Poland) film festivals, and Moholy-Nagy film school (Hungary), with the assistance of the Regional State Administration of Transcarpathia, and the support of the Romanian Cultural Institute.
The project is co-financed by the Governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
